The world is revolving around 3 fields Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology. We are going to discuss about technologies in these 3 fields.

Artificial Intelligence is the emerging technology in the world. We all know that irrespective of everything machine has to be controlled by a human. To change this aspect and to provide machine its own set of intelligence, Scientists are using Artificial Intelligence and its techniques.

Actually, what is the intelligence?? How we can declare that a machine is intelligent??

Intelligence is doing the given task within a specified time.

In the early 1970 s scientist named Alan. Turing invented a test which is named after him called as “Turing test” which will test the intelligent. In this test, one Interrogator will be there to decide the intelligent among participants taking the test. If the participant is able to fool the interrogator then the participant will be declared as intelligent. But the test faced criticism that fooling some is not intelligence.

The Important aspect of the human body is the brain. Like that for machine also we have to design one part which affects all its actions. Human Brain Consists of Neurons which are responsible for human reflexes. Like that Scientists are also creating the neural networks like feed-forward neural network and Recurrent Neural Network to make machines react to any action without the involvement of human beings. Feed Forward Network gives Input in the forward path and receives output. Recurrent Neural Network feeds the output to input and optimizes the performance of the machine.

For a machine to be intelligent first it has to gain some knowledge. Then the question comes how to feed knowledge to machines. We cannot feed knowledge to machines in any manner. The data we are going to give has to be represented in some particular manner. There are different methods to represent knowledge like Relational Knowledge Representation, Logical Knowledge Representation and Semantic network knowledge representation.

In Relational Knowledge Representation, the data will be represented in the form of a table. The knowledge in terms of the table will be added to the database of the mechanical machine. The disadvantage in Relational Knowledge Representation is gaining new knowledge is possible.

In Logical Knowledge Representation knowledge can be represented as a set of logical rules, new knowledge can be created and also we can verify whether new knowledge is correct or not.

In Procedural Knowledge Representation, the knowledge is represented in the form of procedure.

In Semantic Network Representation the knowledge will be represented in the form of a graph with lines and nodes. Nodes represent objects or facts and lines joining nodes represent the relation between the facts.

Extended semantic network knowledge Representation is the combination of both semantic and logical knowledge representation.

There are different basic methods of AI techniques. They are Genetic Algorithm, Fuzzy Logic, and Artificial Neural Network and there are also techniques which are a combination of these three methods also.

Genetic Algorithm is an optimization technique which follows the process of natural evolution. The genetic algorithm is mainly used for the process of maximization.

Artificial Neural Networks are simplified models of the biological neural system. These neural networks are designed to perform the same actions as a human brain when it will be in different situations. An Artificial neural network is a complex network and it is an interconnection of so many processing units and artificial neurons.

Fuzzy Logic is the method used to get exact results when the data we are giving is incorrect or partial data. There are some rules in a fuzzy system by applying those fuzzy rules we can frame logic and optimize the performance of the system.

The Researchers are using learning techniques and learning rules to teach the machine. The types of learning techniques are Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Route Learning. Supervised Learning is the technique in which there will be a professor or supervisor to look after the learning process. The data contains both inputs and outputs. In an unsupervised learning method, there will not be any supervisor. The data contains only inputs. Route Learning is the process where the given data is simply taken by the machine.
